PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This Program on medication management is designed to prepare Licensed Health Care Profesionals in Assisted Living Facilities to become trainers of Medication Aides. Under the Drug Control Act of Virginia, Medication Aides are required to be trained in curriculum approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing before they may provide medication management services.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Physicians or Pharmacists may train Medication Aides as defined by the Department of Social Services Division of Licensing Programs standards.
